The inspiration for this piece comes from Leonard Cohen’s song, "Anthem," and especially from the famous line: "There is a crack, a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in."
One part of the pendant has a central hole that lets light through, while another features an asymmetrical ring, rich in details and scratches, symbolizing the gateway we can pass through.
Some cracks cannot be mended. They remain there, deep and quiet, reminding us of what was broken.
Yet sometimes, it is only through these wounded places that something new manages to flow—a gentle reminder made of metal and intention that there is a crack in everything in this world, and perhaps we shouldn't fear our brokenness, because it is from that exact place, in the end, that the light enters.
