The Amazon Arc necklace was made in memory of - and in respect for - the long-gone Amazon warrior women, whose primary weapon was the bow.

Ancient Greek historians wrote of them in striking, sometimes unsettling terms: that mothers cauterized their daughters' right breasts in infancy with heated bronze, so that "its growth is arrested, and all its strength and bulk are diverted to the right shoulder and right arm" - all to make them the finest archers the world had seen.

Whether or not the legend is true, what it tells us is true: women carry an extraordinary kind of strength. They hold pain, scars, and quiet difficulty inside themselves, and from those things, they shape a strength that is both fierce and gentle.
