The original coin came from a collector in Mysore, India, where I did my yoga teacher training a few years back. I found myself sitting for five hours on the floor with this guy and his coins, picking up different stories in my hands, examining, asking for their history, and getting to know the man who completely spoke my coin language. His English was more broken than mine, but we both had the same spark in our eyes whenever a new piece passed between our hands.
